Founder Story

Clarissa Novita

Skincare has been engraved in my heart and DNA since childhood. I grew up in a loving family that ran a beauty store since the 1980s, therefore I was surrounded by skin-loving rituals, the joy and belief that taking care of your skin can help people feel more confident and beautiful.

But my journey wasn’t always smooth. For many years, I was battling with self-doubt and emotional wounds that were driven by a toxic relationship. I lost my confidence, constantly put others first, and forgot how to love myself. As a single mother, I dedicated almost 10 years raising my daughters, but deep inside, I knew I wanted to do more. I wanted to show them what it looks like to follow your passion/dreams and stand tall in your own power.

Through this journey, I’ve grown into a woman who is more confident, self-loving, independent, strong, and mature. That’s how Clarice Skincare was born. Clarice represents that evolution. It’s not just a brand, but a transformation of myself. It’s my way of turning pain into purpose and passion into something that can help others.

Inspired by my love for K-beauty, I’ve always been fascinated by how Korean skincare uses cutting-edge science and natural, gentle ingredients to achieve real, lasting results. When I started noticing fine lines, dryness, and early signs of aging, I struggled to find effective products that were safe and affordable, so I decided to create something that can solve these issues.

My name is Charlie Lim, and my journey has taken me across continents, industries, and challenges—with one constant: the belief that confidence begins with how we care for ourselves.

For over a decade, I built my career in the real estate industry across Southeast Asia and Australia, eventually taking on leadership roles and helping shape one of the region’s most dynamic property brands. But behind every polished suit and boardroom presentation was a personal struggle that many professionals can relate to—stress, long hours, and the toll it takes on our skin, self-esteem, and overall well-being.

It wasn’t just about appearance—it was about balance. I wanted to feel as good as I looked, and more importantly, to rediscover a sense of self-care that felt both simple and genuine.

That’s how Clarice was born.

Partnering with Clarissa and experts in dermatology and natural skincare, we created Clarice with a vision: to deliver clean, effective skincare solutions that restore your skin’s health—without complexity, without compromise.
